Practical Plug "n Play pipe

I purchased this exhaust for a Huasheng 142F engine I installed on a NorthRock mountain bike. Though a bit pricey in this era of high inflation, it is well made, looks good with a nice chrome finish, and its low modest rumble sounds good on the bike. This particular build has a shift kit with seven gears, so I am not overly concerned about maximizing performance and cannot say how well the pipe is tuned for the motor. Without any data to back me up I would suspect it is slightly restrictive, like most mufflers, since it is so quiet. The only thing I don’t like about its design is the short outlet pipe which could be improved by making it longer with a downward bend so the exhaust exits away from the frame instead of straight back. On this build I installed a small heat shield to deflect the hot discharge to keep it from frying the paint on the frame. Occasionally I make my own exhausts, but this one is a time saving bolt-on after some minor bending to customize the alignment. I estimate the flange needed to be rotated 4 or 5 degrees counter-clockwise (when looking at the engine) to pull the muffler away from the frame. I used the same exhaust on an earlier build using a Huasheng 142F and it fit perfectly, so there could be some slight variation in the angle of the dangle from one unit to the next.
